The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called on the Nigerian government to take decisive action against terrorism and insecurity across the country.
Speaking before a large congregation in a video that has since gone viral, the respected cleric said he has done his part through prayers and advocacy, adding that it is now time for those in authority to deliver results.
Pastor Adeboye urged the government to direct security chiefs to eliminate terrorists within 90 days, stating that those unable to achieve the task should consider stepping down from their positions.
His comments come amid ongoing concerns over terrorism, banditry, kidnappings, and other security challenges affecting several parts of Nigeria, particularly in the northern region.
The video has generated mixed reactions online. While many Nigerians supported the cleric's call for stronger action against insecurity, others revisited his past comments on national issues and compared his current stance with positions he took during previous administrations.
