Nigerian Afrobeats singer Shoday has revealed why he has chosen not to get tattoos, saying he wants to keep the option of returning to a corporate career if music does not work out in the long run.

Speaking during a recent interview, the artiste explained that he believes in having a backup plan despite his growing success in the music industry.

According to Shoday, he intentionally avoids tattoos because he may one day need to fit into a professional office environment.

“I don’t have a tattoo on my body because I am skeptical. If music doesn’t work, I will carry my files and go back to office work,” he said.

The singer also noted that he can easily cut off his dreadlocks and adapt to a corporate setting if necessary.
