Nollywood actor and House of Representatives aspirant Emeka Ike staged a protest at the INEC office in Area 10, Abuja, over alleged irregularities during the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) primaries.
Accompanied by supporters, Ike accused party officials and INEC of possible collusion after spotting a vehicle carrying NDC officials within the commission's premises.
In a viral video, he questioned why party officials were at INEC and demanded explanations.
'You're hiding to do election here and we don't have an address. We have come for you," he said
INEC officials reportedly clarified that those present were at the office for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise and not for party-related activities. However, Ike and his supporters remained unconvinced.
The actor, who is contesting for the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency seat, has rejected the outcome of the FCT primaries, alleging voter disenfranchisement, rigging, and other irregularities.
The protest has sparked mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians praising Ike for demanding accountability, while others argued that disputes arising from party primaries should be resolved through internal party mechanisms and legal channels.

The boldness to call out INEC for the wrong doings is key to put them on their toes. If people keep quiet, the boldness to continue in the evil will be institutionalized"
