'Tinubu should step down'- VeryDarkMan speaks after alleged DSS call

VeryDarkMan VeryDarkMan

Nigerian social commentator Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has revealed that he was recently approached by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) over allegations linking him to a planned protest.

He disclosed that the security agency informed him of claims suggesting he had been recruited to mobilize demonstrations that could potentially disrupt public order. According to the reports presented to him, he was allegedly associated with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and was said to be planning protests targeting key institutions such as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Reacting to the allegations, VeryDarkMan firmly denied any involvement, stressing that he is not aligned with any political party and has no intention of organizing protests. He reiterated that his views and actions remain independent, making it clear that he does not support the ADC, APC, or the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The activist also took the opportunity to address the increasing role of celebrities in political campaigns, arguing that voters should be allowed to make their choices without undue influence from public figures.

He maintained that his focus has always been on speaking out about issues affecting everyday Nigerians, particularly matters relating to insecurity and governance.

Expressing his concerns further, he criticized the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pointing to ongoing security challenges across the country. He added that regardless of who holds power, leaders must always be held accountable, noting that past criticisms of previous governments should equally apply to the present leadership.

His words …

“DSS called me this morning and told me that they heard that I’ve been contracted by ADC to lead a protest, hereby causing unrest in the country. In his words, ADC contracted me to carry out a protest on their behalf because of INEC and APC so that I can cause unrest.

First thing is first, I’m not partisan and I’m not supporting ADC anywhere, I don’t care who’s there and who’s running and I’m not planning any protest. I also don’t support APC or PDP.

I’m even against celebrities flagging up with the parties. If Nigerians need somebody to convince them to vote for somebody then Nigerians are not ready.

Nigerians, if you need celebrities to tell you who to vote for or not vote for, then you people are not ready.

Me, I’m the 4th arm of government, the people’s arm. Na the one wey affect them na him I dey carry go. Insecurity dey, I dey blast APC. Because at the end of the day na Tinubu regime be the worst when it comes to security of this country but na him dey lead protest against Goodluck Jonathan in 2014. That Jonathan is not capable of running the country, e reach your turn you no fit run the country. People dey kpa! Kpa! Dey run leave their homes.

In my own view, Tinubu should not be the president of this country anymore….”
