American singer Jason Derulo has revealed that he never expected to be single at 37, admitting that his younger self had envisioned marriage happening much sooner.

In an interview with Graham Bensinger, the ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’ hitmaker stated that witnessing numerous breakups and tense relationship moments has made him cautious about commitment.

He cited instances of married women leaving their spouses as examples of the realities that have shifted his perspective on marriage.

Derulo expressed that his experiences led him to reevaluate his expectations, acknowledging that he has “seen too much” in his life.

“I thought I was going to marry a lot of the girls I dated. Never in a million years did I think that I would be 37 and single.

“However, I have seen too much. I have seen too much in my life. You can imagine the things I have seen: married women leaving their spouses on the spot, leaving their men in the club.

“I have seen everything under the sun,” he expressed.
