Nigerian singer Crayon, born Charles Chibueze Chukwu, has stirred controversy online following a series of explosive posts on X shortly after hints of his departure from Mavin Records.

In the tweets, the artiste mentioned several figures connected to the label, including founder Don Jazzy and the company’s Chief Operating Officer Tega Oghenejobo.

One of his posts read, “Don Jazzy na my boy,” a statement many interpreted as a mix of loyalty and defiance amid the controversy.

However, the tone quickly shifted in other tweets. Crayon wrote, “Tega highest criminal!!!!!!!!!,” a comment many social media users believe was directed at the Mavin COO.

The singer also made another shocking claim about the label, tweeting, “Mavin is going down!!!!!!” before referencing fellow artiste Rema with the statement, “Rema for the next 100 years no feature.”

In another post, he added, “You stole my star from me. Yeah I took tha shiiiiii backkkkk hoeeeeerrrr!!!!! Snakkkkkkkeeeeeesssssssss.”

The outburst appears to be linked to Crayon’s reported exit from the label. The Lagos-born artiste, who was signed to Blowtime Entertainment in May 2019, recently shared details of a new imprint called Olodum Entertainment, along with a new booking email. His latest song, Baami, is also released under the new label.

As of the time of this report, Mavin Records and its executives have not publicly responded to the singer’s posts.
