Nigerian entertainer Speed Darlington has amused fans after recounting a Christmas encounter with a woman who sent him a festive greeting.

Speaking during an Instagram livestream, the singer claimed the message was not purely seasonal but a subtle attempt to solicit money from him.

He further alleged that the woman smokes, which he said makes her unsuitable for marriage due to concerns about possible effects on future children.

Emphasizing his self-described reputation as a “stingy man,” Speed Darlington said he deliberately ignored the message to avoid falling into what he called a “billing trap.”
