Nigerian music star Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has revealed the career paths she might have taken if music hadn’t worked out.
During an interactive session with fans on X on Tuesday, a curious fan asked what she would be doing today if she weren’t an artiste.
Tems replied that she would likely have been an accountant or a mathematics teacher.
“I might have been an accountant or a mathematics teacher,” she wrote.
Tems has previously shared that she quit her digital marketing job in January 2018 to pursue music full-time.
She released her debut single, "Mr Rebel," later in July 2018, gaining early traction in Nigeria.
Her big breakthrough came in 2020 when she featured on Wizkid’s global hit "Essence," which soared to number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 after the Justin Bieber-assisted remix.
