Nigerian artiste Oluwajuwonlo Iledare, well known as Jaywon, has revealed he was sued for ₦100 million in May 2025 for using his platform to warn about escalating insecurity in Nigeria.

In a post sharing the legal documents, Jaywon lamented that free movement is now a "luxury" in the area.

This disclosure comes just days after a brutal incident on Tuesday evening, November 18, where suspected bandits stormed a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku during a live-streamed service.

The incident forced worshippers to run for their lives and tragically confirming the severity of the exact threat Jaywon was sued for highlighting.

The singer wrote, "On May 25th, 2025, I was sued for raising awareness about this same insecurity just for using my platform to speak for our people.
Today, we’ve reached a point where travelling to Eruku in Kwara State, less than 15 minutes from Egbe in Yagba West, is no longer safe. Free movement is now a luxury. It’s truly heartbreaking."
