Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has shared his side of the tense altercation with media personality Freedom Atsepoyi, aka Mr Jollof, during a flight.

VDM revealed on Instagram that he approached Mr Jollof on the aircraft to address their long-standing issues, but was met with sudden violence.

He claimed the comedian threw the first punch before he could say a word, leaving him with no chance to walk away.

According to VDM, the fight escalated within seconds, and he believes he might not have survived the attack if he hadn’t defended himself.

He also alleged that Mr Jollof bit him during the scuffle, leaving a painful mark and almost damaging his tattoo.

United Nigeria Airlines later confirmed the incident, stating it happened during the boarding of Flight UN0523 at Asaba International Airport.

Both men were handed over to airport security for questioning.

The airline declined to release further details but assured passengers that safety remains its top priority.
