Afrobeats icon Ayo Balogun, better known as Wizkid, couldn’t hide his excitement as his first son, Boluwatife Ayodeji Balogun, made a remarkable entry into the music scene with his debut EP, Champion’s Arrival.
The 14-year-old budding artiste officially dropped the project on Tuesday, November 11, and it has since made waves across streaming platforms, topping Apple Music Nigeria’s chart within hours of release.
Many fans have credited the young talent’s early success to his father’s influence, while others have praised Boluwatife’s distinct sound and confidence.
In a recent video making rounds online, Wizkid was seen at a New York Knicks game, where he was asked about his son’s debut.
The proud father smiled as he responded warmly, saying, “We love it man, he’s my kid, you know,” showing clear admiration for Boluwatife’s musical journey.
When quizzed about the possibility of a father-son collaboration, Wizkid gave a playful “Come on,” before walking off with his crew, leaving fans buzzing with speculation about what might come next.
With Champion’s Arrival already setting records, Boluwatife seems ready to step out of his father’s shadow and build a legacy of his own, one song at a time.
