'In a sane country, he would have been suspended from office' — Raye reacts to ongoing Ned, Regina's crisis

Media personality Raye has weighed in on the ongoing controversy surrounding Senator Ned Nwoko and his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.

In a post shared on X, Raye criticized the lack of accountability in cases where public figures face serious allegations.

Without mentioning names directly, she wrote:

“In a sane country, a senator accused of raping his wife, marrying her at 17, and drugging her would be investigated, arrested, and suspended from office if guilty. The victim would get protection and justice. But in a lawless one? He’ll deny, issue a statement, and blame her!”

Her post quickly drew widespread reactions from social media users, many interpreting it as a comment on the recent claims circulating about Nwoko and Daniels.

See some reactions and the post below

@lifeinsolace___"No. In a sane country, he wouldn't even dare near a 17-year-old in the first place, let alone marrying her."

@subong00___"Since the first time he said his wife used drugs he should have been picked cos he has implicated himself by not reporting, now Regina has accepted she uses it and the senator supported her. What other evidence does the count want?"

@BorgettiFCB____"Yes, she was 17 clearly underaged. But aren't you guys pointing hands at the wrong person? You guys should be calling for her mother's head, for pimping her teen daughter out to a grandfather. She was the one who let it happen, if she said no to Ned all this won't be happening."

@Smartdickson23___"What about her and family that let her marry a man of that age ?? I think yall blame her family, they had option to reject the marriage. The marriage was not by force."

@RolandNGabriel___"She celebrated her 25th birthday this year and married Ned in 2019 so how could she be 17 then?"
