Veteran actress Rita Daniels, the mother of popular actress Regina Daniels, has finally broken her silence regarding her daughter's marriage to billionaire politician Senator Ned Nwoko.
In an emotional interview with BBC, Rita Daniels revealed that she never supported the marriage from the start, contrary to public opinion that she encouraged or arranged it.
“I never wanted my daughter to marry Ned Nwoko, but she insisted,” Rita confessed.
“I didn’t even know when they started dating. People often heap the blame on me for being the one who facilitated their marriage, but that’s untrue. Still, I’d rather take the blame than let them blame her for any bad decisions,” she added.
Her emotional revelation comes amid rumours of a marital clash between Regina Daniels and her husband, Ned Nwoko, a situation that has set social media buzzing over the last few days.
According to reports, the couple’s once-envied union hit the rocks after a viral video surfaced online showing Regina allegedly accusing the senator of domestic violence.
Ned Nwoko, in response, denied the allegations and instead accused the actress of drug abuse, sparking intense online debates and sympathy for the mother of two.
Rita Daniels’ comments have now added a new twist to the ongoing saga, as many fans are reexamining the early days of Regina’s marriage, one that was widely criticized due to the couple’s large age gap and the senator’s multiple marriages.
