A mild drama unfolded on social media after Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo called out O’tega Ogra, the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Digital Engagement and New Media, for allegedly owing him payment for a completed job.

Taking to his X account, Dakolo publicly demanded that Ogra respond to him, suggesting that the aide had been ignoring his calls.

He wrote: “Mr @otegaogra please pick your calls. I did my job.”

The post quickly went viral, sparking curiosity among Nigerians who wanted to know what kind of work the singer had done for the presidential aide or the government.

Ogra later replied in a tweet that seemed to downplay Dakolo’s accusation. Without mentioning money directly, he said:

“I see and have noted the commentary. I will not engage in explication where none is required. My record is public and stands on its merits. Any further attempt to personalise a clearly institutional matter will be met with formal correction and the appropriate professional and legal redress.”

His response left many wondering whether the issue was a personal business deal or a professional engagement linked to government work.
