A video has sparked mixed reactions online after two police officers were spotted clashing with each other in the busy street of Lagos.

In the now viral clip shared on X by @dammiedammie35, the officers appeared to be exchanging insults whilst they engaged physically with each other.

Passersby stop to watch, and cars slow down around the scene. The possible cause of the altercation is not clear from the video.

It was recorded in daylight, in full public view, making the episode all the more shocking to many viewers who expect officers to maintain discipline, especially in busy parts of the city.

Netizens have been quick to respond. Some expressed disappointment that officers made themselves a public spectacle; others condemned what they saw as unprofessional behaviour unbecoming of security agents
