The attention of Comedian Seyi Law has been drawn to the poor condition of the Igbokoda hospital in Ondo State, which he once criticised during the administration of the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

Seyi Law had criticised the hospital after his mother's younger sister died due to the lack of equipment at the hospital to treat her after she had an accident.

He had shared a video to express his bitterness following his aunt's passing. She died at the hospital from a neck fracture.

Seyi Law is currently the Senior Special Assistant on Entertainment & Tourism in Ondo State. The new Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, appointed him.

However, despite his closeness to the current administration, the hospital he once complained about remains in poor condition.

This was brought to his attention by Architect Uche Rochas, who wrote on X, "Dear Seyi Law, the healthcare system in Igbokoda and the broader Ilaje Local Government Area still faces significant challenges. A comprehensive assessment by the Ilaje Development Summit Group in June 2025 highlighted a severe shortage of medical professionals, inadequate resources, and a lack of effective governmental support. According to the report, these issues have pushed the healthcare system to the brink of collapse, with residents urgently calling for intervention. May your mother's younger sister continue to rest in peace. Please keep fighting for her now that you have your friends and family in power."

In response, Seyi Law revealed that the hospital is currently undergoing an upgrade by the Aiyedatiwa administration. This was as he revealed that he has spent up to N60 million of his personal money to support activities in Ondo State.

He wrote on X, "Dear Rochas, I appreciate your concern for the Ilajes. I am glad you mentioned the report by Ilaje Development Summit Group (IDSG), which I am a part of. This should tell you that, beyond the social media noise, I decided to work and make the channel our demands appropriately.

"One of the first things that happened is the restoration of light to the LGA through the effort of Mr. Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, @LuckyAiyedatiwa, and this General Hospital, and some others are currently undergoing upgrades as part of the 103 basic health facilities being upgraded.

"It is also worthy to note that in my capacity I have always advocated for development in my state, and since my appointment, I have spent over N60m of my personal fund to support different activities in the state and entertainers in the State can attest to my numerous efforts to support them as I am currently doing with Dr. Arotele at his show tonight.

"Once again, thank you for asking, and I hope you are also making the right demands from the Governor of your state."
