Guinness World Records (GWR) has sent its best wishes to Nigerian chef Hilda Baci and her team ahead of her latest record-breaking attempt, cooking the world’s largest pot of jollof rice.
The message of support came shortly after Baci shared a video on her social media pages, showing her cleaning the giant custom-built pot that will be used for the challenge.
In less than an hour, global attention will once again turn to Baci, a former Guinness World Record holder, as she embarks on another historic culinary feat.
For the attempt, she will cook with 200 bags of rice weighing approximately 5,278 kilograms and 1,583 kilograms of tomato paste. The pot, designed specifically for the challenge, measures six meters wide, 1.1 meters tall, and 1.3 meters deep.
The event, titled World Jollof Festival with Hilda Baci, will run for 16 hours and will be streamed live on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
