Self-acclaimed financial expert and content creator, Emmanuel Obruste, aka GehGeh, has reignited controversy around Afrobeats star Rema, dragging up an old allegation that the singer stole his friend's laptop.
In the clip, GehGeh claimed that not everyone will succeed through legitimate means, pointing to Rema as an example.
"Many of una need to understand say this life wey we dey live, everybody is going to become rich rightfully, some people go attain wealth through the wrong way, just as Rema carry that boy laptop," He said.
According to him, the singer allegedly took his friend’s laptop without regard for his friend’s emotional state or future, focusing only on his own selfish gain.
He further argued that this alleged act became Rema’s ticket out of poverty, helping him rise to success while leaving his friend behind.
Expressing displeasure, GehGeh advised that the said friend should drag Rema to court and demand a staggering ₦1 billion in damages.
"The best thing I expect from that boy at this point na to sue Rema for 1 billion, get the right lawyer, and change your future forever, change your life forever."
