Popular Nigerian social media critic, Daniel Regha, has reacted to a post shared by billionaire daughter and disc jockey, Florence Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy.

Cuppy, who is fond of posting about her love life and experiences with suitors, recently shared a lighthearted post about a church member who tried to flirt with her.

Her post, "This guy at church just TRIED to flirt o. You staying for second service?” 😃 immediately angered the critic, calling it insensitive in light of the tragic passing of Phyna's younger sister, Ruth Otabor, who was hit by a Dangote truck.

He argued that, rather than sharing jokes about her dating life, Cuppy should have shown empathy and used her platform to lend a voice to the tragedy, especially considering her father’s close relationship with Aliko Dangote, whose company’s truck was involved in the accident.

Daniel Regha wrote:

"Cuppy, to be honest, people take your relationship dramas and situationships as content, and at this point the public couldn’t care less. Best wishes if it eventually clicks for you. That said, learn to think of others other than yourself. You’re always quick to know when you’re trending but never speak out when others are the topic of serious conversations.

Dangote’s trucks are ruining lives, your dad is a friend of Dangote, so how about you show some empathy and concern. It’s not by making it big; real lives are being affected, and you can use your platform as a so-called philanthropist to at least show support. No offense.”
