Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual in 2023, Hilda Baci, has shared more details about her upcoming attempt to cook the largest pot of jollof rice on September 12.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, Hilda Baci walked her fans and supporters through a step-by-step breakdown requirements for preparing what could become the largest pot of Nigerian jollof ever cooked.

She revealed that, since announcing the attempt, one of the most frequently asked questions she has received is "How much rice will be needed?"

Providing more context and clarity, Hilda explained that the pot for the cooking measures 6 meters wide, about 1.1 meters tall, and 1.3 meters deep.

She further revealed that her target is to fill the big pot with at least 75% to 80% of Nigerian jollof rice. But to achieve this, she requires a total of 250 bags of Basmati rice.

In addition, she estimated a total of 1,583 kilograms of different varieties of tomato paste will also be needed.
