MultiChoice Nigeria has announced plans for the 2025 Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) season, which will kick off with a two-night premiere on July 26 and 27.
During a recent media event, the organizers revealed that the winner of this season will receive a record-setting N150 million, the largest cash prize in the show’s history since its debut in 2006.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, returning as host, shared insights into the show’s history, revealing that BBNaija has featured 197 housemates over nine seasons, with a total of 709 days of airtime and N637 million awarded in prizes.
Last year’s “No Loose Guard” season introduced a novel twist, where contestants auditioned in pairs before competing individually. Kellyrae won, earning N100 million and making history as the first married winner.
For the 2025 season, MultiChoice brought back in-person auditions, held from May 16 to 18, returning to the show’s traditional approach while offering new excitement for fans.
