On June 30, 2025, Grammy-nominated star Rema headlined Madison Square Garden in a landmark concert, dazzling fans with a collection of his hit singles.
The hitmaker treated fans to a rendition of the smash hit records that have elevated him to superstar status since he broke into the mainstream in 2019.
His ongoing tour comes off the back of the release of his Grammy-nominated sophomore album 'HEIS,' which forms the major part of his set list.
At the concert, the sensational star brought out award-winning rapper Odumodublvck, with whom he performed their collaboration 'War Machine'.
He also brought out rapper Shallipopi for a performance of their collaboration 'Benin Boys'.
The concert is another high point for the multi-award-winning star who has become one of the stars leading the exportation of Nigerian music, with his hit single 'Calm Down' with Selena Gomez making history as the first song by an African artist to reach 1 billion Spotify streams.
As with the practice at his ongoing tour, Rema performed with a waxed figure of global stars Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, who are classified as the Afrobeats Big 3.
This communicates Rema's desire to be recognised as one of Afrobeats' biggest stars, a sentiment he shared with the lines "there's no longer a big 3; there's now a big 4" on his song 'Hehehe'.
Before his Accor Arena concert, Rema performed at the O2 Arena and Madison Square Garden, where he joined Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Asake as Nigerian stars to have headlined the iconic venue.
The concert is a testament to Rema's success as a global star whose music plays a major role in the worldwide exportation of Afrobeats.
