Naomi Silekunola, the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife and others have been granted bail by the Oyo State High Court in Ibadan.

The court's sitting judge, Justice K.B. Olawoyin, made the decision after the principal of the school where the stampede occurred, Naomi's counsel, and Oriyomi Hazmat filed a bail application.

Two of the five conditions that the judge set for the bail are N10 million and two sureties who must provide landed documentation within the court's jurisdiction. They are prohibited from conducting any kind of interview while the case is pending and are required to submit their foreign passport with the court. Additionally, the judge ordered that the news could not be aired by Oriyomi Hazmat's media group.

According to earlier reports, the three were charged with eighteen crimes by the Oyo State Government. They were charged with criminal negligence, manslaughter, conspiracy to commit murder, and other connected counts.

According to the charge sheet, during the disastrous funfair event at the Islamic High School, they did not offer enough security, crowd control measures, or medical facilities. Sections 308 and 344 of the Criminal Code, CAP 38, Vol. 11, Laws of Oyo State, 2000, stipulate the penalties for the offense.

Recall that Naomi had recently gotten herself into trouble for her charitable activity in December. The crown prince's mother had planned a feeding event for the underprivileged in cooperation with Agidigbo 88.7 FM, Ibadan, which is owned by Oriyomi Hazmat. Unfortunately, a stampede at the occasion resulted in the deaths of over thirty-two youngsters.

A Chief Magistrate placed the former Queen and Hazmat on remand at the Agodi Correctional Facility after they were detained. Four counts of conspiracy, acceleration of death, careless acts causing harm, and failing to provide proper security and medical facilities were brought against them at their arraignment.
