Nigerian activist and social commentator Solomon Buchi has responded to Grammy Award-winning singer Damini Ogulu, often known as Burna Boy, promising to take care of the alleged son of celebrity bartender Cubana Chief Priest.
Hours ago, Cubana Chief Priest's alleged baby mama, in a viral video, tearfully shared her struggles with homelessness. She mentioned that her parents' attempts to reach Cubana had been unsuccessful and revealed that she has been homeless since last year.
The woman also mentioned that Cubana Chief Priest had blocked her on Instagram and WhatsApp after she reached out to him about her situation.
After the video of the woman went viral, the self-proclaimed African giant offered to help her and pledged to relocate them to Nigeria, support the boy's education, provide the mother with a job, and have his football academy train him to become a football star.
This act of kindness by the Grammy winner sparked discussions among social media users who praised the singer for his generosity.
Social media commentator Solomon Buchi was one of those who reacted. He expressed that if the boy in question is truly Cubana Chief Priest's son, it would be embarrassing for him that the singer is offering to take care of his son.
He wrote, "I don’t know the genesis of Burnaboy’s beef with Cubana Chief Priest, but Burnaboy offering to take care of CP’s alleged son who he abandoned is a high-class humiliation of Chief Priest. Imagine another man taking care of a child you abandoned as a way of shaming you.
Burnaboy’s move on that one is grand and very petty, I can’t deny that."
