Popular media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, often known as Daddy Freeze, has drawn criticism from followers of New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD) for his comments regarding a miracle that Pastor Jerry Eze achieved at his UK prayer conference.
During the conference, a young girl miraculously got out of her wheelchair and walked for the first time.
Daddy Freeze responded to this miracle by calling it flimsy and mocking the pastor's followers.
He challenged Pastor Jerry Eze to perform an even greater miracle by reviving the dead. Daddy Freeze specifically mentioned popular singer Onyeka Onwenu, late actors Mr. Ibu and Junior Pope, and singer Mohbad as examples of people he wanted to see brought back to life.
Social media users criticized Daddy Freeze's remarks, pointing out that even Jesus did not heal everyone when he was on earth.
Here are some reactions
ngpat55: "The benefactors of the weak miracles still expressed their utmost joy."
conspiracy9ja: "Even when Christ was here physically on earth , he didn’t heal everyone. Just my opinion"
oludosikehinde: "There is no weak miracles, which of them can you do?"
gechywins: "Hello sir which one is weak miracle again, atleast dia was miracle even jesus wen he was alive no b all soul he brought back to life"
eichie07: "God is not a respecter of any man, you can't tell him who to heal or not, i have seen someone who was not even going to church receive his healing from kidney failure just by praying at home for two weeks. Nobody is special so stop calling Mr Ibu or Jnr pope"
chefbraakman: "I find it insensitive that you would mention these people to male your point and I do get the point. You could have just referenced ebola and covid situations without mentioning who were not necessarily looking for healing or to be raised at any point."
