Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has broken her silence regarding the ongoing nationwide End Bad Governance protest in Nigeria.

On August 1, 2024, Nigerians in various regions took to the streets to protest against issues such as hunger, bad governance, and other societal problems.

Following the commencement of the protest, several videos began circulating online.

Iyabo Ojo shared a clip from Galaxy TV on her official Instagram page, which appeared to show teargas being deployed at protest sites.

The video included commentary from someone off-camera, alleging that shots were being fired despite the unarmed status of the protesters.

In her caption, Iyabo Ojo expressed her concerns about the police's actions. She wrote: “Why are they throwing teargas @nigeriapoliceforce? #peacefulprotest is their right”
