Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has addressed criticism from the Muslim community regarding her upcoming film project.

Recently, Nancy promoted her new movie on Instagram, sharing images of herself in a niqab and holding a firearm, along with photos of cast members, including one in a hijab during a robbery scene.

The Muslim community voiced their disapproval, accusing Nancy of disrespecting their religion and misusing religious attire for personal gain.

They highlighted the significance of the niqab and expressed their disappointment with those who do not adhere to their values and exploit religious garments for selfish purposes.

In response, Nancy posted new photos on Instagram, emphasizing her focus on peace and personal goals. She made it clear that she avoids drama and gossip, values tranquility, and is not bothered by others.

She wrote, “Really out of the way. In my own world. No drama, no gossip. Just goals and money. Peace is where I’m at.

“I don’t bother nobody & I’m not bothered by nobody. That’s my peace. To protect my peace, I stopped taking other people’s projected opinions personally.

“Reminder: Your light often highlights other people’s insecurities and shortcomings, which they will then project back to you as a flaw. It’s a coping mechanism. Attacking you makes them feel safer.

“ISIME BABY!! OMO OLOGO 5G!!! THE BRIGHTEST LIGHT!!!! THE CITY ON A HILL THAT CAN NEVER BE HIDDEN!!!!! THE NANCY ISIME!! BIG NAME, BIG FORCE!!”

Nancy's response asserts her commitment to her personal peace and goals while addressing the backlash with a focus on positivity and self-assurance.
