Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, recently shared the sad news of her maternal grandmother's passing. The well-known Nigerian DJ finds comfort in the belief that her grandmother is now in heaven.
Expressing her gratitude, DJ Cuppy highlighted the impact her grandmother had on her family, as she raised her mother who in turn shaped DJ Cuppy herself. She did not provide further details regarding the circumstances of her grandmother’s death or the funeral arrangements.
The late grandmother, Nana Otedola’s mother, passed away at the age of 91. DJ Cuppy took to her X handle and Instagram story to share her grief and memories.
In her heartfelt post, DJ Cuppy wrote:
“My mother’s mother has left us. Finding peace in knowing she’s in heaven, watching over us with love. What a remarkable life she lived!
“I’m immensely grateful for the influence she had on my mum, who then shaped me. I’m praying for my family during this sudden period of change, but we already trust that our God is always good.
“Grandma Kaduna, your spirit remains with us, guiding and comforting. #RIP.”
She further added:
“Grandma Kaduna 1933 – 2024 May your soul rest in perfect peace.”
This message reflects DJ Cuppy’s profound appreciation for her grandmother’s legacy and the deep impact she had on their family.
