Nollywood actress Ruby Ojiakor has come under fire online for taking a long time to grieve for her friend and coworker Junior Pope, who tragically lost his life in a boat accident in Anambra state.
The Nigerian movie industry and fans were deeply saddened by the catastrophe that occurred a few weeks ago.
Ruby Ojiakor has publicly expressed her deep anguish at Junior Pope's passing ever since the news broke.
However, social media users have questioned her behaviour because of her continued grief.
Ruby Ojiakor recently shared a moving picture of herself with the deceased actor on her Instagram page along with some sorrowful remarks.
She wrote; “Exactly one month today at UKEHE… Forever in our hearts my Friend and biggest bro ‘AKPA SWAG’ IT IS WELL HE LIVES ON.”
Many of her fans and followers have consoled and supported her during this trying time, but some have criticized her for what they see to be an unduly protracted period of grief.
Following a flurry of conjecture, news that Junior Pope's wife had unfollowed Ruby Ojiakor on social media, stoked the reaction.
