Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson has slammed a social media critic who posted a critical remark about his personal life on his Instagram page.

The purported fan asked the actor if he had taken DNA tests after he posted a picture of him and his twins on his page.

In response, Adeniyi Johnson said he had no reason to test them for paternity but that he would still raise them as his own even if the results showed he wasn't their biological father.

Later, the Instagram user, who is a devoted follower of his, DM'd him to implore him not to take offence.

According to several studies, Nigeria has the highest rate of paternity fraud worldwide. Numerous well-known Nigerians have come forward to claim that their spouses had children with other men and that these children were not theirs.

In Nigeria, paternity fraud is highly common for a variety of reasons, including financial strain, male infertility, greed, and unintentional causes.

Recently, a DNA test revealed that Nigerian footballer Kayode Olarenwaju was not the biological father of his three children with his wife, sending social media into a frenzy.

Singer Harrysong also called out his wife Alexer recently noting that their recent child was not his because he hasn't had a sexual encounter with his wife for over a year.
