The singer's sporadic rise in the industry was crowned with a well-deserved award at the 65th edition of the scheme.

Tems who had bagged 3 nominations at the Grammy awards 2023 with her immense contribution, bagged a Grammy award in the 'Best Melodic Rap Performance' category for her vocal and writing contribution on the smashing hit 'Wait For U' by Future featuring Drake and herself, making it her first Grammy award win after four nominations.

She becomes the first Nigerian woman to win the coveted award.

While the congratulatory messages continue to pour in on social media, some other users have attributed her success to Wizkid.

Recall that Tems became an industry favorite for her collaboration on Wizkid's "Essence" which was released in 2020.
