Preferred presidential candidates of eight famous celebrities

The presidential campaign is heating up with voters, including celebrities openly declaring their preferred candidates.

Mr. Macaroni – Peter Obi

Popular skit maker Adebowale Adedayo aka Mr. Macaroni has long declared his support for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP). He said the former Anambra Governor is the best for the job.

The famous music duo Peter and Paul Okoye has shown continuous support for Obi. For them, there is no going back.

Zack Orji- Ahmed Tinubu

Veteran actor Zack Orji and the Director of the Southeast zone under the Performing Arts Director has thrown his support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress(APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The actor believes the APC candidate has what it takes to make Nigeria a better nation. He said that his support for Tinubu is based on both experiential and personal reasons.

Banky W- Atiku Abubakar

Singer, rapper, actor, entrepreneur and politician, Bankole Wellington aka ‘Banky W’ has endorsed the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Atiku Abubakar. The singer- turned- politician recently joined the PDP where he is contesting for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos.

Desmond Elliot- Ahmed Tinubu

Film producer- turned- politician Desmond Elliot is backing Tinubu and has been seen wearing t-shirts and face caps with the presidential candidate’s insignia as a gesture for his support. The veteran actor, who is a registered APC member and a Lagos House Assembly member, urged Nigerians to support his party’s candidate.

Joke Silva- Bola Tinubu

Veteran actress Joke Silva and the chairman of the Creative and Entertainment Industry Committee of the Tinubu-Shettima Women’s Presidential Campaign Council has been a supporter of the APC and its candidates. The actress threw her support for the APC presidential candidates causing a stir on social media. Even her appointment as chairman of the Creative and Entertainment industry Committee of the party’s campaign council was met with mixed reactions by many people.

Funke Akindele- Atiku Abubakar

Actress Funke Akindele is an ardent advocate for Atiku Abubakar. She is also Olajide Adediran’s running mate for the PDP Lagos governorship seat.

Kenneth Okonkwo- Peter Obi

Popular actor, Kenneth Okonkwo is another celebrity who has endorsed Obi.

The actor-turned-politician was a member of the APC but crossed to the LP. He is on Peter Obi Presidential Council and became the campaign committee’s spokesperson.
