Ruger’s ‘Asiwaju’ reclaims top spot on music chart

Jonzing World signee Ruger is beginning the new year on a high.

His song “Asiwaju” has reclaimed the number-one spot on the music chart.

The proud singer announced the development in his New Year’s Day tweet after his song pushed back Zinoleesky‘s ‘Personal’ to second place.

‘Asiwaju’ topped the music charts for four consecutive weeks before it was briefly dethroned by ‘Personal’ in the last week of December 2022.

In an appreciation post to God and fans to commemorate his feats as he rounded up the previous year, Ruger recounted how he began the year 2022 with ‘DIOR’ as the number 1 song in the country.

Making a vow to his teeming fans, the singer said: “Next year will be a more amazing year for me and my fans I promise you.”

The year, 2023 may already be looking amazing as his song, ‘Asiwaju’ has now taken back the number one spot, causing Ruger to reel in excitement.

Celebrating his latest achievement and pledging to offer his ‘dear streaming fans’ optimum listening pleasure through his craft, the 23-year-old Afropop singer via his Twitter handle said: “And again, just like last year, I’ve got the first number 1 song in the country this year.

“Thank you, Lord, Thank you my dear streaming fans Mcheeeeeeeewwwww. 2023, we go harder I promise you.”
