I've tested positive for coronavirus despite full vaccination; the virus is real - Mike Okri

Veteran musician, Mike Okri, has announced that he has tested positive to coronavirus.

According to Mike Okri this came has a shock to him despite receiving double shots of the vaccine.

Taking to his Facebook page, Okri narrated how he tested positive moments when he was supposed to travel.

He advised people who are in doubt that the virus exist that it is real. Adding that he is currently in isolation.

“Hey folks, this is coming to me as a rude shock. I had my Covid test on Friday, hoping to fly today, Saturday and it turned out it was positive. I’m so devastated, which means that I can’t travel for another 10 to 14 days. As I’m speaking now, I’m self-quarantined.

I just want to tell folks that yes, for those doubting Thomases, that the damn thing is real.

I’m feeling funny; even though I had my vaccines, double shots, I’m still almost like, hmm, that doesn’t mean that you’re immune.

So, folks, there are a lot of people walking around with it, but they don’t even know,” he said.

Mike Okri dominated the Nigerian Music industry in the 80's and 90's with his hit songs such as ‘Time Na Money’, ‘Okpeke’ and ‘Rhumba Dance’ among others.
