I have no regrets dumping secular music for gospel - P.Voo

Singer, Patrick Osakue, aka P.Voo, has said he has no regrets leaving secular music for gospel.

The singer told Sunday Scoop, “Years back, when I made the (secular) song titled, ‘Turn Around’, little did I know that such would be the case of my music career. There is a turnaround in my life because I have changed my music direction from afro pop to gospel.

“This change was divinely orchestrated in its entirety because it actually started like a joke. A friend had told me to stick to my initial style of music which is popular among people in our age bracket, maintaining that it would make me rich and famous. However, something in me disagreed with him and I said gospel is the ultimate. We argued for some time but I maintained my stance. Basically, that was how this started. I have been composing and arranging some gospel songs with melodious tunes and they will be released as time goes on. To ensure that nobody tampers with my new musical direction, I have decided to float my label, P.Voo World.”
