Popular Nigerian entertainer, DJ Cuppy has confirmed that she has officially joined the #ENDSARS movement.

The daughter of billionaire, Femi Otedola also apologized for joining the movement as late as she did, noting that she had to go against the advice of everyone around her before making her decision.

The #EndSARS protest which began over the weekend has gathered steam following the assault of a young Nigerian by the government agency. Since then, hundreds of Nigerians have taken to social media to recount their ordeal.

Standing tall amongst the list of victims is Big Brother Naija season five housemate, Nengi.

Despite not been harassed by SARS, Cuppy said her loved ones have been victims of these operatives which she said is enough for her to care.

She tweeted: “I would lying if I said I’m DIRECTLY affected by SARS but a lot of my Cupcakes are and that’s enough for me to care. I stand behind the movement to #EndPoliceBrutality AND #EndSARS.

“Going against the advice of those around me, but it doesn’t feel right. Silence can say so much. My fellow Nigerians, forgive me for taking so long to comment…

She joins the likes of Musicians Tiwa Savage, Runtown, Falz and comedian, Mrmacaroni who have already staged peaceful protests.
