Nigerian musician, David Adedeji Adeleke known in the music scene as Davido was in Ghana over the weekend to celebrate the signing of the first female artist to join his DMW record label.
His arrival in the country was met with excitement and joy by fans as they thronged the airport to welcome him.
His visit, however, wasn't rosy due to a couple of unpleasant events.
The unfolding episodes of his stay commenced when a crew accompanying him were denied entry into a Ghanaian drinking bar (Bloombar), in the capital city, Accra on Sunday.
According to reports, Davido was allowed entry but his crew were denied entry because they failed security checks.
The crew was suspected to be in possession of illegal sustance which was not acceptable by the management of the facility. His decision to party was cut short upon realizing his crew was not allowed entry.
While leaving the place, the superstar musician yelled and hurled insults at the management and security apparatus of the facility boasting “Me, I can buy this place 10 times” the amount.
There is no doubt that the popular musician has got a large fanbase in Ghana who were excited to see him and as a result, gathered around him when he showed up a club. Unfortunately, what seems to be an unpleasant situation happened as he was spotted in a viral video 'slapping' a fan.
In the video, Davido was walking down with fans who gathered after he turned up at a club. He slapped the fan who tried to take a selfie with him with his hands on his shoulder. Fans expressed their displeasure at his action.
