Manchester United has welcomed DJ Cuppy after she expressed desire to become a fan of the club.

The billionaire daughter took to Twitter where she revealed that if Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo, should score a goal for the club in their FA Cup encounter with Norwich City, she would instantly become a United fan.

"As a Nigerian, I think it is only right that if @ighalojude scores a goal today, I will official join @ManUtd as a fan", DJ Cuppy wrote.

In response, Manchester United tweeted: "Welcome aboard".

Ighalo did score in the FA Cup game which ended 2-1 away at Norwich.

MyNigeria.com recalls that a few days ago, DJ Cuppy announced the end of her relationship with Arsenal FC after the London club lost 2-0 against Brighton.

The loss which made it the club's second since the restart of the English Premier League saw two late goals from Brighton who are facing relegation threats.

Before the game, DJ Cuppy had warned that she would dump Arsenal if they should suffer a loss.

She wrote on Twitter: “If @Arsenal lose today, NOBODY on Twitter should beg me to stay o! Face with look of triumph #BHAARS #COYG.”

Shortly after the game which ended in a loss, the billionaire daughter announced her exit from the club.

“It’s not me, It’s you. Only so much heartbreak a girl can take, @arsenal, I can no longer stay in this toxic relationship”, she tweeted

She went on to share what she called an “Official @Arsenal Breakup Statement From Florence Ifeoluwa Cuppy Otedola”.

The statement reads: “I understand a lot of people are upset about my decision to leave after six years being a gunner.

“I wanted to come and explain my situation. The heartbreak is too much. I can’t do it anymore.

“After today’s loss. There’s so much I can take during this difficult time, I’d like the press to respect the privacy of myself and Cup cakes as we find a new home.

“I am not ready to move on. I don’t want to move too fast. I have to find a place I can call my football club.

“So, please respect me as I make this decision. I know that there’s a lot of rumour but I am not ready to move on. So, respect my decision.”

In another post, DJ Cuppy hinted at joining Manchester United which she says she had always had a soft spot for.

"Funny thing is... I’ve always had a soft spot for @ManUtd ???? (Since I was 8 years old I SWEAR!)", she wrote.
