Mariah Carey has opened up on a rumored beef between her and late singer Whitney Houston in the 90s.

Both singers with amazing voice share a song together titled " When you believe" which featured as soundtrack in the movie Prince of Egypt.

Speaking about the rumored beef, Mariah Carey said when they finally met, there was no ill-feelings between them.

“Working with Whitney was an experience I’ll never forget. It was a bonding experience. Before that when we did the video, we really put all the rumors and nonsense behind us that there was a feud.”

“There was nothing, we didn’t know each other. Once we knew each other, we had the best time together and I was honored to work with her, so when I look at this picture, I’m really proud that we had this moment together.”

The rumor was also put to bed when both singers wore same outfit when they presented the Best Male Video MTV Video Music Awards in 1998.

They also appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show and were all smiles.

Mourning Whitney Houston's death on the Good Morning America show, Mariah Carey said:

“I’m almost incapable to be talking about this still. I don’t think people could ever really understand our relationship. There was always this supposed rivalry in the beginning and then we did the duet and became friends … I loved her.”
