Following the release of their much-anticipated blockbuster movie “Zarz End” on the Don Pee TV YouTube channel, a production by Don Pee Art and Gallery, Dr. Onyeka Ogbatu has commended the Nigeria Police and Lagos State Government for their roles in maintaining peace and holding the nation together.

The movie, which has been attracting significant streams since its debut on June 12, 2025, in celebration of Nigeria’s Democracy Day, features some of the industry’s most prominent figures—from veterans K.O.K. and Nkem Owoh to AMVCA star girl Chioma Chukwuka, among others. It dramatizes the End SARS movement, a nationwide protest against rogue officers in the Nigeria Police Force. The protests, which shook the nation, saw angry youths attacking government institutions and facilities across Nigeria, but were eventually quelled due to the measured and professional response by the government and security agencies.

“Zarz End” Executive Producer and CEO of Don Pee Art and Gallery, Dr. Onyeka Ogbatu, applauded the Lagos State Government, led by Dr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the Nigeria Police—who bore the brunt of the unrest—for their neutrality during and after the End SARS protests. He particularly commended their professional and unbiased approach to the investigative panel that probed the events.

Don Pee Art and Gallery, whose parent company, Spanish Kingdom Group, is a longstanding supporter of the Nigeria Police Force, donated palliatives and relief materials to the Force during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Ogbatu reiterated his unwavering support for the Nigeria Police and reaffirmed his company’s commitment to continued partnership with the Nigeria Police and the Lagos State Government.

“Our intention in retelling the End SARS incident through a true-life story years after is not to antagonize the Police or the Lagos State Government,” Dr. Ogbatu told the media. “Rather, it is to document a piece of history and preserve the memory of that historic incident in an engaging format, so that the youths of this nation can revisit it, learn from the past, and reshape the narrative that followed the crisis.”

“End SARS was a national tragedy that painted a negative image of our country. It led to the loss of lives—including some innocent police officers—and harm to protesters. Our goal is not to profit from people's pain but to honor the memories of all involved and preserve the incident in an artistic format for future generations,” the perceptive business leader added.

In line with this mission, Don Pee Art and Gallery plans to launch a youth development initiative targeting underprivileged youth, in collaboration with Passion for Excellence (PAFEX), a youth development NGO. The initiative aims to support and amplify the achievements of the Babajide Sanwo-Olu-led government, especially in the creative economy.

According to Amaobi Kingsley Madu (Obifaruk), Lead Strategist and Founder of the PAFEX Youth Development Initiative, “We are proud to partner on this meaningful project that aligns with our mission to empower young people and support innovative governance.”
