Actress Yvonne Nelson has thrown shade at those going online to broadcast the donations they delivered to help people survive as coronavirus shuts down global activities.
One of those who made her gesture known online is actress Toyin Abraham who tweeted:
"I am pleased to say that I and my friends @officialrockypain and @omoiyaseri has jointly donated N200k to buy bags of rice and hand sanitizers to people in Ibadan. These items will be shared at 1 pm tomorrow at Dugbe, Opposite Cocoa House. We are hoping to reach more people".
Singer Runtown also announced on Twitter: "HOPE EVERYONE IS STAYING SAFE. TIMES ARE EXTREMELY TOUGH AND I AM CERTAIN THERE ARE PEOPLE WITH NO MONEY TO STOCK UP ON SURVIVAL ESSENTIALS. WILL BE GIVING OUT 10 MILLION NAIRA TO THIS CAUSE. KINDLY DROP YOUR ACCOUNT DETAILS".
Yvonne Nelson has now advised against the act by saying they should ensure their act of kindness is not publicized.
She wrote “Pls donate to the poor/needy/widows/orphans etc, don’t let an eye see it when you do, God in heaven sees it! This is how God our Father in Heaven blesses! most churches/pastors will use your money for their luxurious lifestyles. God sees and knows our hearts.”
