Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie has retaliated against his brother and detractors following his brother's comments on him promoting his marriage on social media.
The actor responded angrily to those who advised him to keep his marriage off social media.
This response came after his brother, Linc Edochie, talked about Yul's choice to publicly disclose the specifics of his second marriage in an interview with renowned actor Kanayo O. Kanayo.
Although Yul is free to make his own decisions, Linc disclosed that their father, Pete Edochie, had counseled him against making his marital affairs public.
Yul Edochie responded to those who chastised him for disclosing details of his personal life online by vehemently defending his decision.
He drew attention to the irony of critics whose private marriages had failed. Yul Edochie forcefully defended his choice to be transparent on social media, stating that a marriage's success is not based on its visibility, whether it is public or secret.
He wrote, “Ndi keep your marriage off social media, Kwenu! Ndi ala. You wey hid your marriage inside the house, you no still divorce? Your wife no leave you? Psychos. everybody na advice for social media. Your own life go dey scatter, you no fit fix am but you sabi advise other people.
