Actor Yul Edochie has denied claims that he was friends with Ason Rich, a movie producer who was shot and killed by the police during a kidnapping attempt.

Following the death of Ason Rich, who was named as a suspect, a photo of him and Yul Edochie began trending online with some alleging that they were friends.

Yul who was not pleased with the claims, shared a video on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, where he refuted the allegations. According to Yul, he only met Ason Rich once at a movie shoot.

He explained that after shooting the film, Ason Rich approached him, introduced himself as a producer, expressed his joy in working with him, and asked for a photo, which is currently circulating.

The actor addressed trolls, stating that they are trying to manipulate the innocent picture he took with the late Ason Rich.

Yul went on to warn individuals spreading these false rumours that he plans to seek legal action against them.
