Nigerian singer and record producer John Saviours Udomboso popularly known as Young Jonn has shared his most embarrassing career moment.

The singer recalled how he was made to feel uncomfortable during his former boss Olamide's "Awon Goons Mi" video shoot in 2014 when music video director Unlimited LA yelled at him and told him to leave the camera.

Young Jonn made this disclosure to MTV Base in a recent conversation with them.

He said: “Some years ago, we were on the set of ‘Awon Goons Mi,’ which was produced by Pheelz and I. Unlimited LA was shooting the video. I was new to the YBNL record label at that time so he probably didn’t know me. Everybody was going to the front of the camera one by one to pose, but when it got to my turn, Unlimited LA shouted at me to leave the place. I almost died. It was as if I should enter the ground. But that is in the past now,” he said.

2023 saw Young John begin an incredible partnership with the captivating vocalist Tiwa Savage and the budding star Ayra Starr, resulting in the glorious hit song "Stamina," which shot to the top of Apple's Most Played Songs in Africa.

In 2022, Young John's musical masterpiece, "Xtra Cool," ruled Nigeria for a few weeks—an astonishing accomplishment given the country's profusion of musical ability.

Dada, a remix that featured Davido, perfectly captured Young John's breakout moment and cemented his place in Afrobeats history.

Young John, who is referred to in the business as "The Wicked Producer," has left his lasting impression on several iconic songs, including "Wo" by Olamide, "Shoki" by Lil Kesh, "Mama" by Kiss Daniel, "Ello Baby" by Tiwa Savage, and "Issa Goal" by Naira Marley.
