'You're selfish' – Afrotrap Queen calls out Tiwa Savage, others over lack of support for female artistes

Rising Afrotrap star Independent Jorgi has caused controversy by publicly criticizing well-known female artistes including Tems, Teni, and Tiwa Savage.

According to Jorgi, these business titans have little interest in supporting and working with up-and-coming female talent.

When criticizing these well-known musicians for what she perceives to be a self-centered approach to their careers, the emerging Afro trap phenomenon did not hold back.

Jorgi made particular mention of their purported inability to seize chances to work with up-and-coming female musicians, a move she feels will advance the general development and variety of Nigerian music.

Jorgi claimed that these female musicians seem less interested in actively nurturing fresh talent and more focused on their own achievement than their male colleagues.

She made a strong case that genuine success in the field should be determined not just by an individual's achievements but also by their readiness to encourage and assist the upcoming generation of artistes.
