'You'll be poor for the rest of your lives' - OPM pastor allegedly places curse on Happie Boys

The general overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Ugochinyere is said to have cursed the Happie Boys for reportedly being ungrateful after he offered to pay for their tuition in Cyprus.

Apostle Chibuzor had pledged to take care of the boys' maintenance after they were fired for dancing at a restaurant they had previously worked at in Nigeria and eventually became online sensations.

The boys had gone public with their request for assistance and their claim that the clergyman had broken his pledge to pay for their schooling.

After arriving in Cyprus, they said he took care of them for six months before asking them to wait another six months since he was having some difficulties. They said that six months later, they have still not received assistance.

The guys, who assert that they have never disparaged Apostle Chinyere, claim that a live session they had was screen-recorded and given to the cleric, who became enraged and accused them of attempting to discredit him.

They claim that the cleric's masculine voice, which was heard in the voice message he purportedly sent to them, prayed for their continued poverty and lack of success.

The male speaker prayed that they would have to resort to selling their clothing in order to make ends meet.

Many social media users reacted to the boys' claims of the clergyman not fulfilling his promise stating that many scholarship recipients under the OPM have been left to wander the streets of Turkey.

Here are some comments

chriz_benny: "A friend of mine in turkey confirmed that many students on scholarship from OPM in turkey and Cyprus are roaming the streets, no food and shelter. Let all these not be for photo oops and people's validation that you are a good man ohh"

gtb_gtb: "The pastor has done the very best to have helped them move abroad to study. However, they are there to study, not to work. Things work differently in many European countries. You’d hardly get a job in Cyprus to sustain yourself till you finish your education. The pastor should have thought about continuity before taking them abroad. My verdict is that the boys are not at fault at all."

mazitt305: "Before you judge these boys, Send your sibling or move to Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to study, the degree from that occupied territory is worthless, Nigeria is better than that hole…Why abandon them those boys are very naive……"
