'You lied to me about your relationship with Frederick' - Actor Uti to Peggy Ovire

Nollywood actor and co-host of MNET programme ‘Jara’ Uti Nwachukwu has mockingly accused Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire of lying about her relationship with her colleague Frederick Leonard.

The celebrity pair exchanged vows at a star-studded traditional wedding on November 19 in Warri, Delta state, in front of family, friends, and other celebrities.

Colleagues including Destiny Etiko, Mary Igwe, Junior Pope, Blossom Chukwujekwu, and Ugezu U. Ugezu were among those present at the wedding ceremony.

A few hours prior to the event, Peggy posted a picture of the two of them cuddling on her Instagram page and referred to their union as a miracle.

She prayed that their union would endure forever, vowing that they would always prioritize serving God in whatever they did.

Peggy wrote: “This Love we have is Something Of a Miracle. It’s so easy to know that you’re the other half that I’m destined to Spend the rest of my life with, Diamonds are Forever and So is Our LOVE!

“May we always put GOD First in Our Marriage & May Our Lives be Sweeter than honey. Let’s do this Baby. I Love You”

Following the nuptials, Uti reacted by posting on social media, accusing Peggy of lying to him about their relationship.

Uti cited an interview in which the Nollywood actress said she and Frederick were only platonic friends.

He wrote: “I called this love years ago, you lied to me on Jara, Peggy”

Social media users who left comments after his article went viral on social media confirmed his account, saying they had seen the interview where Peggy denied dating her colleague turned husband, Frederick.
