Yemi Alade's Shekere hits 3.4 million views

Less than a month after Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade released visuals for her latest single, Shekere has been streamed exactly 3,429,182 times on YouTube, less than a month after its premiere.

Shekere sees the "Johnny" crooner team up with fourth-time Grammy award winner, Angelique Kidjo to deliver some epic masterclass to the song off Alade's sixth album titled, Woman of Steel.

The song, which is themed on culture and celebration showcases the Afro-Pop queen's astounding vocals and a mix of a harmonized African sound that Kidjo expertly infuses.

The video was produced by Anyiko Owoko and directed by Ovie Etseyatse.

The numbers have continued to rise with over 9,000 comments on the sultry singer's page, and several comments commending the song.

“Shekere” is the sixth single off Yemi Alade's fourth studio album “Woman of Steel“. The album features a host of international stars like Rick Ross, Angélique Kidjo, Duncan Mighty and Nollywood star Funke Akindele.
