Nigerian comedian Woli Arole has taken a stand against Christians who criticize the popular reality TV show, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija).
The show's Season 9 premiere on July 28th, 2024, has sparked widespread discontent among netizens.
Many believed that the show was premiered to distract Nigerians from the nationwide protest while others criticized it as "ungodly".
In response to the backlash, Woli Arole addressed the issue on Instagram, calling out Christians for labeling the show as 'ungodly'.
He suggested that instead of complaining, the Christian community should focus on creating their own 'godly' reality TV shows.
He emphasized that many Christian billionaires have the financial capability to support such projects.
He stated, “Stop complaining about BBNaija. Create your own Godly reality TV show! If you don’t sponsor them, you can’t dictate their behavior. There are Christian billionaires who can fund Godly TV shows. Period.”
