'Wizkid is the only Nigerian artist who impresses me' – Phyna

Big Brother Naija reality star Josephina Ijeoma Otabor, also known as Phyna, has stated that she is only impressed by Wizkid among Nigerian artists.

The reality star claimed that the singer's latest social media outburst, in which he attacked critics for labelling him as an Afrobeats reject, won her over.

Wizkid stirred much controversy with his recent declaration that he no longer wants to identify as an Afrobeats musician.

He also released a statement where he attacked individuals who had condemned him for criticizing the genre.

In response, Phyna praised the singer on the X platform, claiming he is the only Nigerian musician who has impressed her.

She wrote: “Omo I’m loving Wizkid now oooh. Baba no send anybody papa. Gosh…shea person fit change fave? Bcuz like this eh!!! Na only Star boy dy do wetin dy sweet me…Una papa.”

Phyna's tweet generated a range of responses, with some criticizing her for endorsing such a crude show and calling her a “razz and clout chaser.”
